Bend in the River

This scratchboard captures a quiet riverbank just as the water curves out of view. I worked from a photo but let the textures lead the way—scratching in the trees and grasses until they felt just right. There’s something calming about the soft movement in the water and the way the banks hold it gently in place. It’s one of those scenes where you can almost hear the hush of it.
