Prairie dog eating cactus

This little prairie dog made me smile the moment I saw the reference photo. Something about the way he stood—half-hidden behind the cactus, eyes sharp and ears perked—felt both playful and proud. I loved bringing out the sun-bleached tones of the desert, and the soft textures of fur against the spiny cactus arms. It’s a quiet moment, but one full of life and watchfulness.
