Evening Roost

This painting came from a memory of watching birds settle in for the night as the sun dipped low. I loved the way the last light of day lit up the sky in fiery orange, casting the trees and birds into sharp silhouettes. There’s something comforting about that shift from motion to stillness—how the day gives way to rest. I didn’t try to make it exact, just evocative, like the way the moment felt: vivid, fleeting, and somehow timeless.
