Grandfather and Grandson

This is one of my earliest paintings, and still one of the most tender for me. I worked from an old magazine photo that struck a chord in me—the way the older man and grandson were resting together, hands gently touching, just radiated quiet trust. I wasn’t aiming for perfect detail; I just wanted to hold on to that peaceful feeling.
