Quiet Watch

What drew me to this image was the quiet presence of the man in the red shirt—standing alone before a weathered adobe wall, his expression unreadable but rooted. There’s a deep sense of place here, something both ordinary and sacred in the way he stands between shadow and sun. I painted it to hold that stillness, that moment of quiet witness.
