Sanctuary and Spice

I loved the way the red chiles caught the late afternoon light—like little flames dancing in the breeze. The small adobe church behind them felt timeless, nestled quietly into the New Mexico landscape. I used a reference photo for this piece, but the feeling of standing there—warm sun, soft silence, the smell of earth and pepper—guided every stroke.
