Steps into Silence

The figure caught my eye first—small in scale but anchored by a strong stride. I loved the way the warm shadows fell across the stone steps, and how the door, partly hidden in shade, felt both inviting and unknowable. Painting this was about capturing the rhythm of earth tones, the geometry of old adobe, and the quiet solitude of someone caught mid-journey.
