Uncle Pat

This is Uncle Pat, just as I remember him—grinning at the table with a beer in hand and the radio playing something scratchy in the background. I painted this from an old photo, but the moment came alive again with every brushstroke. The tile, the shirt, the little black radio—it was all still there in my mind. He didn’t pose or perform. He just was. This one’s for him.
