Along the Rio Grande

I’ve walked along the Rio Grande more times than I can count, but the light is never quite the same twice. I took this photo on one of those golden afternoons when the light cut across the trees just right, bringing everything into sharp, quiet focus.. The cottonwoods were glowing, the water was barely moving, and everything felt like it had paused to listen. I didn’t frame it much—just stood still and let the river show itself.
