Bank Shadows

The sun had already dipped behind the trees, but the river still carried its warmth. I was drawn to the contrast—the bright shimmer of water against the dark edge of the bank. Along the Rio Grande in fall, those quiet in-between moments feel the most alive, like the land is exhaling into dusk.
