Last Light on the Las Cruces Range

This was taken just as the sun was beginning to drop behind me, lighting up the peaks of the Las Cruces mountains with a golden warmth. I loved the contrast between the rich earth in the foreground and the soft sky above. Even with the openness of the desert around it, the mountain seems to hold its own kind of quiet power. I didn’t use a reference photo for this one—just a strong memory of how that moment felt.
